Buffalo Chicken Dip

I made this awhile ago and completely forgot to post the recipe.  Everyone LOVES buffalo chicken dip and I know there are many variations on how people make it.  I always make it & bring it to my neighbors house for their parties & one of their family members ALWAYS brags it up & says she looks forward to it every year.  (I just tooted my own horn, yes I did!) Anyway, it’s super easy!!

I take 1 can of chicken breast (13 oz).

and break it up in a pan.

Then you want to add in franks red hot – Use a little to start with & then you can taste & add more.  If you use too much, you can’t really go backwards.

Add in 1 block/box of Philadelphia cream cheese.

I always add some shredded cheddar cheese into my mix as well.  I used about ½ cup here.  Add in ½ c bleu cheese or ranch (whichever you prefer)

Let it melt down on medium heat on the stove stirring occasionally.

If it’s not hot enough, add more redhot!!!

Once the consistency is right (all of your ingredients are melted together – make sure that cream cheese has melted!!) pour it into a pie pan & top with cheddar cheese.

When you’re ready to eat, melt the cheese top layer in the oven & serve!

Franks Red Hot

1 13 oz can chicken

1-2 c Cheddar cheese

1 box Philadelphia cream cheese

½ c bleu cheese dressing or ranch dressing (your preference)

1. Mix chicken, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, dressing, and red hot together in sauce pan.

2. Melt on medium heat stirring occasionally (make sure all of your cream cheese melts!!!)

3. Pour melted buffalo chicken dip into pie pan & top with cheddar cheese

4. Bake in the oven until cheese is melted if serving immediately.  If not serving immediately, let cool & top with cling wrap and place in refrigerator.  When ready to serve, heat in the oven and allow cheese to melt prior to serving.
